About the Owners
Hannah and Joey Padilla
Santa Fe natives Hannah Padilla, CPDT-KA, CTC and Joey Padilla, CPDT-KA, CTC, graduated from the San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers, known worldwide as the premier dog training school. Hannah has a BS in Zoology from San Francisco State University and served as Director of Behavior & Training at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter.
Since opening Santa Fe Tails in 2008, the couple has given back to the community through their work specializing in animal behavior and dog socialization. Many dogs awaiting adoption from the animal shelter have been placed in the care of Santa Fe Tails to improve social skills and challenging behaviors to help increase the dogs’ chances of finding a forever home.
The couple is always on the move with their children, Jacob and Mia, and a house full of friends: Juno and Griff (great danes), Laney (pug), Indiana (golden retriever), Mavis (cat), Katniss and Primrose (goats), chickens, fish and an eel.
Our mission is to provide your dog with the safest, most enriching and fun experience at Santa Fe Tails. Whether it’s daycare, training or an overnight stay at our boarding facility, we take extreme pride in our unique and innovative services and the customized care we give to you and your dog.
